At Australia Wide First Aid, we know that first aid training can make all the difference in the world, as one of our student’s (Jenny) recently found out.

Just a few hours after completing her first aid course, Jenny came across a young woman who had been in a single vehicle accident and needed medical assistance.

Using her brand-new first aid skills, Jenny reassured the woman, helped her communicate clearly with emergency services, and kept her calm while waiting for the police and ambulance to arrive.

Reflecting on the situation, Jenny said: ‘I would not have had the confidence and calmness and awareness to help her, along with others, if it wasn’t for attending the course in person’.

Though Jenny did not have to perform any ‘hard core’ first aid procedures, like supporting a fractured limb or managing a wound, her ability to take charge of the situation ensured that the woman received prompt medical attention.

This subsequently reduced her chances of deteriorating further while simultaneously maximising her chances of making a full recovery – two core tenets of first aid.

It is stories like Jenny’s that empower us to continue delivering the best first aid training possible.

Since our inception in 1996, we have been committed to making it easier for people Australia-wide to learn first aid.

Why First Aid is Important

Though first aid training is not a substitute for professional medical care, it can help people identify, minimise, and respond to injuries and illnesses in the home, workplace, and wider community.

As such, good first aid training is not just a ‘tick in the box’ activity – it is one of the quickest and easiest ways to keep yourself and your loved ones safe, healthy, and happy.

We have training locations in every state, capital city, and major town throughout Australia.
