CPR certification does not expire. It is of course vitally important to keep your skills fresh. Safe Work Australia recommends renewing CPR certification every 12 months. This needs to be done through a Registered Training Organisation. Australia Wide First Aid is RTO No. 31961.

A CPR refresher course has the same course criteria, training and assessment as the full HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation course. The only difference is the student has had experience in completing the course.

Access to manikins means that is not likely an online CPR course is an accredited course.

Non-accredited courses are not recognised as official training and assessment, therefore cannot be used as certification for employment.

FAQ

First aid course assessment involves practical demonstration of CPR. This demonstration requires access to a manikin. Because of this requirement, it would be unlikely that an online first aid course is an accredited course.

Non-accredited courses are not recognised as official training and assessment and therefore cannot be used as certification for employment or study purposes.
